The Veterinary Dental Education Center was founded by Dr. Laura M. LeVan in 2009 to teach veterinary professionals the art and science of veterinary dentistry. Dr. LeVan is a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College. She graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1976 and practiced small animal medicine until 1993 when she opened Mobile Veterinary Dental Services. In 1992, Dr. LeVan joined the staff of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University as a Clinical Assistant Professor establishing the dental service at the veterinary school. She founded Veterinary Dental Services in Acton, MA in 1999. Dr. LeVan has been interviewed for many newspaper articles and has lectured to a variety of audiences including veterinarians, veterinary students, the general public, and dental residents. Her passion is veterinary dentistry and she enjoys sharing this passion with her fellow veterinary professionals.
